Basic Terminology Explained

Storefront - basically a sales channel, but tied to a specific ship from location. (warehouse)

Warehouse - Note that this is the catch all term for a fulfillment location, it does not need to be a literal warehouse.

Order - Orders in Storefronts (an order created in a storefront, which is pretty much all small parcel shipments for end customers)

Shipment - A Shipment (parcel, box, package) for a given order. Has a single Tracking Number. An Order can have multiple Shipments.

Purchase Order (PO) - An Order towards a vendor (like say Lacore Nutra)

Warehouse Shipments - Can be an ASN (Advanced Ship Notice, a shipment from a external vendor) or a WT (Warehouse Transfer, a shipment between warehouse locations managed by Connect). Warehouse Shipments can be tied to POs, and most ASNs are tied under a PO. Warehouse Shipments are basically (incoming) inventory transactions.

Bulk Shipment - An order for shipping bulk items (from LaCore Logistics to somewhere else)

Warehouse Products - list of items in a given warehouse, with inventory information and more. Managed by logistics.

Storefront Products - the products used in a storefront, also called sometimes the Storefront Product Catalog, which is the list of SKUs actually used in the storefront (so the product catalog in the eCommerce software). Managed by you. Note that this list of items is autogenerated based on order data, so if a specific storefront product for a given sku does not exist in system it is autocreated once an order is generated.

The storefront products are tied to warehouse products, via (alias) product mappings. Product Mappings are currently managed by logistics, on a per request basis and not available via the dashboard or the API.
